This experience was written about in her book Chicken Soup For the Preteen Soul and in 7th Heaven's episode "Nothing Endures But Change". Mitchell's best friend Angela 15, who was fifteen years old when she died in a death in an accident with a vehicle and a car, also wrote about her experience. Mitchell was devastated and composed the track Angel to Angela on her first album. The song was featured on her 7th Heaven Episode Nothing Endures But Change and in Chicken Soup for Preteen Soul she also talked about the experience.
